I love this dish as well as my family. Using large egg noodles (16 ounce bag), boil them in salted water, drain, add 2 tablespoons butter, set aside.
While they boil cut 1-1/2 pounds sirloin steak into thin strips, add to a saute pan with a little canola oil, add garlic salt (one rounded teaspoon), onion powder, black pepper, to taste and saute about 5-6 minutes, add baby bella mushrooms and white button mushrooms sliced (1 cup total), saute them into the meat mixture, and cook 3 minutes on low heat, add 1/4 cup sour cream and a splash of cream, stir and continue to cook on low heat for another 5 minutes.
Plate some buttered noodles and ladle on some beef stroganoff.
