This new recipe has become a family favorite. Young and Old alike! One pound Good Sirloin Ground Beef, 1/2 grated onion, one teaspoon  Garlic salt, black pepper, to taste, a bit of canola oil to start the cooking process. Using two frozen pastry shells allow to thaw,  use one inside a regular pie plate (I use Pyrex), place the other dough on a flour dusted work surface and roll out thinly. Melt some butter to brush on just before placing into the oven (It gives a nice browning to the top of pie). Once the ground beef is cook through drain off any excess grease. Slowly add 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese to the beef and stir to combine. Transfer to the pie plate and even it out using an offset spatula. Add  (carefully) the top dough, crimp the two dough edges together. Butter the top of Cheeseburger pie well, cut a slit in the center. Place on a baking sheet pan and put into a 375 F hot oven. Bake about 18-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and pie is a golden brown.

Cut into wedges and serve! We love this with tomato wedges, pickles and chips on the side. Choose whatever side dishes you enjoy.
